PTSA Executive Board Meeting Minutes

January 9, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.

 

Call to Order: The meeting of the 2007/2008 Executive Board of the Howard A. Doolin Middle School PTSA was called to order at 6:10 p.m. by President Maite Gomez.

 

Roll Call:  Kelly Padilla, Maite Gomez, Barbara Prieto, Mrs Iza-Rodriguez, Mr. Tillet

 

Quorum:   The president declared a quorum was present.

 

Minutes:   Minutes from the December 5, 2007 were approved as presented.  M/S/P


 

Treasurer’s Report:   PTSA Treasurer will present a $10,000.00 budget via email to board members for approval and presentation to the General PTSA body on January 23, 2008!  As of 01/09/2008 we have $1037.92 in the bank account.

                                   

Old Business:    World’s Finest Chocolates Fundraiser - we have outstanding monies from the students.  Mr. Tejada will be compiling a list of those students.  Students will be spoken to as well as the parents to bring in the $25.


 

 

New Business:  Coordination of the program on January 23 in underway with Ms. Richard’s gifted students, Ms. Campbell for the Accelerated Reader Program Workshop and PTSA General Board Meeting.  Flyers will be created for this event.  Students/Parents  who bring the flyer will receive extra credit in Language Arts Class.

 

January 31 - Curriculum Fair - PTSA will setup a membership information table and sell pizza slices and soft drinks. 

 

Adjournment: Having no further business meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
